COVID Second Wave Lockdown

We will be open through this lockdown in the way we have been over recent months, so that animals can be treated and cared for as usual whilst protecting their people and our staff from transmission of the disease. Consultations will continue to be distanced and outside, and animals will be taken inside by members of staff. Please ring the surgery for more information.

CAM device

We are pleased to be able to offer a new form of ambulatory ECG – the CAM device. Weighing just 15 grams, the CAM device is much smaller and lighter than Holter monitors and therefore better tolerated by our patients. Despite being tiny, this device can continuously record an ECG for up to 7 days.

Ruth led a recent study on the use of this device in dogs and the results were presented in April 2019 at a specialist cardiology conference.

Currently, we are the only centre in the UK using this device and, so far, our clinical experience has been very positive in both dogs and cats.
